Hi

I have a G3si v11

The company is moving into a new site with an existing PBX. Before our number range is ported, i want to foward all of our extensions/DDI as people gradually move over several months.

Question is, are there any limits on the amount of extensions i can forward over? I'm comfortable that I have enough trunk capacity to do this.

Cannot find anything in features, capacity forms

Just need a double check, before i start the plan.

Many thanks

You can forward as many as you want. The limits will become known when all your trunks are busy.

Every call incoming that forwards will use two trunks until the call is dropped (one DID, and one outgoing for the forward to destination).

You may want to get your provider to do this so the current switch does not get all of the trunks tied up. This could also cause low transmission on your calls that come through this location to get to the other location.

Cheers AvayaTier3,

I have quite a bit of spare trunk capacity, so I'll think I'll be okay on that side of things.

I'll keep and eye on the transmission you spoke of.

Thanks for the confirmation

Just a thought but I would create remote coverage paths instead of call forwarding. Have the remote destination as the new office. Then let them use their SAC button to activate it. As they move between offices all the have to do it hit the SAC button to receive calls at either office.

Just a little more user friendly and probably less phone calls for you..
