I've had problems with my G3V9 call center for months now. About 2% of calls get cutoff as the agent is answering. Also, some agents have had their phones (6416 and Callmaster V's) log them off by themselves. Also, some I've had a few instances where 2 agents got the same incoming call at the same time. Someone suggested the problem might be caused by static electricity, since the agents don't have any mats between their chairs and the carpet. Does anybody have experiences with static causing these problems? The agents say they never get any static shocks, but I don't want to dismiss the possibility. Suggestions?

These are verry rear problem's you're having.
First thing that come's to mind is that there is no TDM-bus Terminator. This can cause lot's of unexplainable error's.
Is the switch grounded to earth?

Hope this helps, if not, good luck!!

We had some strange occurences similar to those you mention, that when investigated could not really be explained. How long has your switch been running, An ex Avaya consultant advised us to re-boot our switch completely and ours had only been installed for about 10 months. We did and the problems did seem to decrease by a huge amount. Hope this helps

For unexplainable disconnects etc.: try to look up errors with the command: display events, choose for all and check the results. The event log will show you date and time plus some info + error codes. So keep track of when and where the problems occured and...good luck!

Questions? Put 'em up here and we'll have a look at them.
