Greetings to all,

I was wondering what the easiest way would be to block users from dialing a single outside DID number. We are getting a complaint from an irate individual that calls keep coming to him from our system. Somehow his number was incorrectly entered somewhere and now multiple people are constantly trying to contact him at all hours.

Thanks......

Build a Route Pattern with his exact number as the pattern, 9.his-number. Put it in a Partition reachable by all who have been dialing it. Then inside the Route Pattern, check the box that says Block This Pattern. Doesn't matter what Gateway or Route List you put in it.

Are you sure the calls originate from your system and not somebody elses that happened to mask their caller ID to match yours?
It happens all the time especially with telemarketers that get blocked. They will mask their caller ID with any number to get through.

Check your CDR records to make sure. Just a thought

The only way if it is external calls is to use H322 and use a translation to reject the call if you know the ANI/CLI

whykap, I checked the CDR and verified the calls were placed from our system. I setup the Route Pattern as pndscm suggested and everything is fine.
