Hi,

Does anyone know where i can get a calibration block for an exabyte 230D? I called Exabyte but they do not carry parts for end of life product anymore.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

sorry for my ignorance, but what is a "calibration block"? is that a piece of hardware?

you could try with 2nd hand vendors (refurniched) as or "canvas systems" (both Atlanta based).

cheers.

It is a piece of hardware that look like a dlt tape. We need the calibration block so we calibrate the tape drives in the libraray. Basically it use for calibration so it could tell precisely where to grab the tape and where to put it.

Thanks

I assume a calibration block is a gauge to calibrate the loader mechanics with respect to the drive's postion within a jukebox. So a repair shop should be able to help you.

605, Do you know any repair that you can reccomend? We have no idea whom or where to turn to since the product is end of life.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks

No i don't, especially as i don't know the area your are in. However, i am pretty sure that there are lots available. Just search the web, please.
