Can someone let me know how to get Access to view Monday as the start of a calendar week (european calendar) instead of Sunday (american calendar)? I know in Excel it is a simple parameter in the formula, but this is my first try in Access.

When using the functions DatePart, DateDiff, and DateAdd type vbMonday as the third argument. This designates Monday as the first day of the week. See access Help for these functions for a full explanation and other arguments for these three functions. The DateDiff syntax is listed below:

Syntax
DateDiff(interval, date1, date2[, firstdayofweek[, firstweekofyear]])

Hi TripperTim,

In what context? The Weekday Function (as, indeed, all native VBA functions) is the same in both applications. If you're using it in a Query then the vb Constants aren't available, but you can use the corresponding numbers (e.g. vbMonday = 2) instead.

Enjoy,
Tony
