I normally just use tasks, but I have been trying to use the calendar feature more & more and have run into a bit of a problem early on.

Under outlook today I have items under the calendar section, and I have tasks (with due dates). However, under the calendar section, it is completly empty, so just to double-check I double clicked on January 7th, created a fake event, saved it, and still it does not show up under the calendar view, but does appear under outlook today.

The calendar view I currently use is on a weekly basis with no preview pane, and I have a taskpad on the right hand side. I am also (for some reason) now unable to view the day view (not shaded) & the work week view (shaded, but when clicked does nothing).

Which leads to my next question, assuming I solve the problem above, is there a way in the taskpad view to have other information such as the due date shown?

Thanks.

Are you using an Exchange server? And if so are you having mail delivered to the Exchange server or to a personal folder? joegz

I am using an exchange server and all the mail is being delivered to the exchange server as well. I have a personal folder that I store older mail on, but that's seperate.... I think something in general may be wrong with outlook because reminders are not popping up either.....

I played around with customizing current view and changed the fields to start & end and that seemed to fix the problem. Although my other question still stands, that is

is there a way in the taskpad view to have other information such as the due date?

Sure...right mouse click on the taskpad column bar and then select FIELD CHOOSER. Drag whatever column heading you want to the position where you want it and it adds the column to the view. joegz

THANKS!!!! This is perfect, now I can view all my tasks with the due dates and if needed I can allocate time for tasks that are almost due on the calendar by creating an event... Thanks again!
