Hi,
We have Exchange 5.5 SP3,clients using Outlook XP.A small percentage take advantage of using Delegates to access their calendars. Most of the delegates are Editor's to the designated Calendars.Out of blue a User will ring our Helpdesk and state that appointments have disappeared without deletion. The appts that vanish are eg Board Meetings
that have been inserted first Tues every month until end of year.Has anybody out there experienced anything similar???
We have some folks that have given several people editoriol
rights, checked their Deleted Items & Recover Del Items - nowt.
PS Everyone swears blind "I did'nt delete it,honest"

Certainly have it's driving me nuts...I think it may be related to calender caching in the OST file but we've got PDA's that are clouding the issue!!

Anybody else know anything more?

Kind regards

Don't trus the 'I did'nt delete it,honest' people too much to start with.

Make a user with unique rights and make a similar calendar entry. No-one can modify it.
See if it stays or not.
If it does, temp. take the privileges away from the 'I did'nt delete it,honest' people except 1.
If that solves it .. well, at least 1 is not honest. The solution is out there. [morning]

I have seen this happen and apparently when it happened to us one of the techs was reassigning rights to the calendar thru Explorer rather than the Exchange console and for some reason when you do its screwed up......
