Calculating fields in queries produce bad results

I do have the following expression in a query

Cc: IIf([DocuMatrix]![CC] Like "*insert*",[DocuMatrix]![CC_Original],[DocuMatrix]![CC])

The CC field at Documatrix is defined as a memo field. When I use this expression I am getting bad characters at the end of the data string(little square boxes). How could I fix this problem?

Code runs fine on my PC.

Your display font for UTF-8 is not complete enough to show the required character. If it is a space that you expect to see, maybe you should trim the result.
