Calculating a Minimum Value per Record

I would like to calculate the minimum value for multiple expression fields WITHOUT using an aggregate function.

Example:
Expression Field: Mod 1 Value: 50
Expression Field: Mod 2 Value: 40
Expression Field: Mod 3 Value: 45
Expression Field: Mod 4 Value: 60

Goal: A new calculated field to select 40 as the minimum record.

if you don't want to use an aggregate function in a query the only other way is to write a custom function in a module and use that.
