I lost my Windows 2000 Pro install CD, so I was wondering if there is an install folder that all of the installation files are in like Windows 98 in C:\WINDOWS\Options\Cabs?

Not unless you made one yourself. It is not a standard installation procedure to make a folder such as you describe.

But you probably could copy the i386 folder from the Win2000 CD to the hard drive. Same for WinXP.

With a 'lost' CD Berton?

GeekEinstein, if you lost the CD, request a replacement CD-Media Only from Microsoft or a Certified MS distribution center.

If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, expect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.
Free Tip: The F1 Key does NOT destroy your PC!

Oops, missed the 'lost' part. My WinXP Pro, HE and Win2000 offered to copy the folder during installation.
