What kind of cable do I need to use winspm for programming?

OR - you can use WinSPM by connecting a regular RJ11 patch cord from your computer's modem to an open port on an 012 or 106 T/R card - much less complicated if you are on site. You will see those two options under "direct connect": via the admin port OR via modem.

Why a null modem cable? Just use a 355a and a cpu patch cable (straight thru). You may have to use a 25 to 9 pin adapter. The modem Ideal is O.K. to use as well but some laptops built in modems don't work that well. I use the admin port when I go onsite.I admin our Magix thru my desk top modem that gets dial tone from an 016TR, it is also the cpu I use to admin cutomers systems from our office.
