I have cabinets on to different campuses connecting via fiber optic cable and switch node interface cards. I am thinking of building a redundant system where my cabinets are connecting over wireless antennas, as I have had trees fall on cables before. So my idea would be to plug my fiber cable coming from cabinet 1 into an antenna on a roof (I am thinking of a product called Air Fiber, e.g. that sends signal to another antenna that brings it into another fiber cable and then into cabinet 2. Do you think an application like this would be possible?

Are additional fiber paths not available? I would doubt it would work at all let alone reliably. It's a TDM connection running just under DS3 rates. Nothing built into the SNI's to deal with jitter, delay, or anything else brought into play on the wireless.
