I have a simple app that tracks phone calls/emails, etc. Name & address are entered on 1st form, call info on 2nd form. The app was originally written in cw2002 with the EXE & data on our novell 6, SP2 server. It was about 98%generated code with a few embeds and works very well - instant response on updates. I converted it to c55G w/ABC
templates and now have 2 problems: 1st, on win 95/98 workstations, it locks the ws during the save of the 2nd form. 2nd, from any type of workstation (nt/95/98/2k), there is a 3-6 sec lag time between clicking ok on form #2 and when that form closes. There aren't any special embeds/api calls/extra file updates occurring - just standard abc code. Oplocks has been turned off for the server; anti-virus read/write has been disabled for the data file directory; both versions of the app use TPS file format; all workstations use novell client32 3x & higher. I'm moving back to the cw2002 version but I'd like to figure out what's happening with c55.
