C1721 - Does 1721 support ISIS routing?

Hello,

I have a C1721 router and I am attempting to perform some IS-IS routing labs on it. I attempt to enable IS-IS routing by using this command:

router isis 1

Then when doing a "show run" I do not see anything where I would expect to see the ISIS config. Does the C1721 support ISIS, or do I need a specific version of code for this routing protocol to work?

For IS-IS routing I think you need at least IP Plus feature set.

I just got this version of IOS to try ISIS on:

Platform: 1721
Software Feature Sets: IP/ADSL/IPX/AT/IBM/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 3DES
Release: 12.3.9 ( LD - Limited Deployment )

When I enable ISIS it still acts as if it didn't even see the command. It does not reject the command or give me an error however when doing a "show run" I do not see what I just did.

Am I missing something on enabling ISIS on a C1721?

Router(config)# router isis

prompt should change to:

Router(config-router)#

The ver of IOS I just threw on here is pretty beefy and has about every option turned on yet still nothing. Do I really need to run just "IP PLUS"? I like having the IPSEC/ADSL functionality in the IOS and honestly in a working environment one would need this functionality.

According to a later search I did through my CCO account revealed that there is no support for IS-IS in 1700 series routers. You need at least 2610.
