C000021A Fatal System Error

After installing Windows 2000 server and SP2 all my programs and hardware drivers in a Dual boot setup with Win ME. When I start the computer it gets to the Windows 2000
Server page and the blue screens with the following error
"Stop C000021A Fatal System error 0x00000080.

When I try to boot in Safe Mode or any other mode it continues to reboot with the same message.

Any ideas on how to recover from this?

Some major hardware/services error. Strip the machine of all non-essential hardware (sound cards, fancy graphics cards, Zip drives etc.) Elimination.

If that does work, all you have to do is plop the 2k Server CD into the Drive and boot from CD. Use the recovery console to stop/start services or just do a full blown repair. Steve Hewitt
