C++ calling BO Full client SDK

Hi,

I'm using BO 5.1
Does anyone try to display list of BO reports and BO reports from a C++ application?
I understand from a C++ application, I can call and use the COM objects. Am I wrong? I'm not planning to use WebI for this integration. Also, do I need to buy BO development suite to implement this?
