Hello,
My dial-up connection appears to receive bytes even when I'm not browsing. Can anyone recommend a tool/method for seeing where bytes received are coming from?
On average I'm receiving 20bytes a second.
I've used a number of different ISPs and I seem to get the issue no matter whom I connect with. I've only recently started to notice this. I'm pretty sure I've got some spyware or something on my machine (as I get tons of popups for eBay France though I live in the UK). Ad-aware hasn't found anything on my machine.
Curiously, I only started noticing this after installing Google toolbar, but maybe this is a red herring.
Any advice on how to track/block these incoming bytes is appreciated. Or should I just install a firewall? (Is ZoneAlarm still good?)
Best regards
