Buying Delphi

Hi All,

I already own a copy of Delphi 6 Professional. I am considering upgrading but I am unsure what version to get next, more importantly why should I upgrade?

Any suggestions welcome.

Also, with the release of Vista, are there any major issues on the horizon with regards to compatibility issues with Delphi?

General consensus seems to be if you don't want to move to .net then Delphi7 is fine, but I don't know if its still avalible.

Otherwise go for the newest version you can afford.
I am told that D7 works fine with Vista, but the M$ upgrade advisor does complain about it.

wait for D2007, it has native Vista support.

Thanks for the suggestions, I think I will take the advice and wait a while. To be honest I am reluctant to give up Delphi 6 pro, i think it is a good version overall.
