buttons with a repeater

I have a page that has a repeater on it. It lists call history information about an account. I would like the users to be able to edit the information. I haven't had any success putting a "submit" button inside the repeater, and if I put it outside, it won't write the records.

Any Ideas? If you need code posted, let me know.

Have you looked into the ItemCommand property of the repeater in relation to your buttons?
