For some buttons on forms, I like using a small .gif or .bmp graphic. Access 2003 provides graphic icons, and they are nicely consistent in size and format. But the meager selection is really, really disappointing.

Curiously, I have not found a supply of royalty-free alternatives. I'd think microsoft.com would have this right on tap.

Do you know of any sources?

You may find this:

Useful.

Those are interesting ... but I can't use an .ico graphic on a form, can I? Would I need a converter utility to get to .gif or .bmp?

(Of course I did use the term "icon," but I guess I didn't really mean it!)

Tut. Father Brown would be most surprised.

You can use .ico as the picture on a command button. You can open .ico in paint and save it as .bmp

Oh, I can use an .ico. Thanks, star.

(I can't open an .ico in Paint, however ... "bitmap not valid, or file type not supported." Instructions on resolving this are too obfuscatory to demand the attention of F. Brown.)

I still feel there must be a ready supply of bitmaps somewhere ...
