Hey all,
My GM is getting errors in the log of one of my servers and I don't quite understand the explanation. Here's the error out of the Security Log:
Event Type: Failure Audit
Event Source: Security
Event Category: Account Logon
Event ID: 681
Date: 12/11/2006
Time: 2:35:36 PM
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer: SRV-EXCHANGE
Description:
The logon to account: CorrectUserName
by: MICROSOFT_AUTHENTICATION_PACKAGE_V1_0
from workstation:
failed. The error code was: 3221225572
I checked on the Microsoft site and this Event ID and error code say that:
User logon with misspelled or bad user account
I don't quite understand because this is the correct information for the GM. I asked the GM if he's having any trouble with logging in and he said he isn't. One of the recommendations on the MS site is to go to the workstation where the error is orginating, but if you look above no workstation is listed. Am I missing something simple here or am I needing to take a closer look???
