Hi,

I have tried searching for this on the forums, but keep ending up with softconsole information. Hence the post.

I have a 1616 set with two extension boards and want the buttons to show if the assigned station to said button is busy. I have used the busy-ind which seems to be intermittent at showing whether that station is busy, it does not seem to show on calls that have been transferred to that station.

Is there a better way for me to do this? This is the first time I have tried to program a reception phone and have to say am finding it challenging.

Thanks in advance

1616 may not the the best choice for an attendant, but it could work if your organisation is not that large.
normally you'd use a softconsole or even an oldfashioned 302D. These have a buslylamp matrix of a 100 at a time.
These are set up in the attendant config.
The other option is a bridged apearence, but you also need a button per line appearence on each remote phone,
otherwise you will indeed only see the first appearence as busy.

Thank you, fortunately it is a small office (at the moment). I am pushing for softconsole, but the guys in this office run on Citrix which wont run softconsole (to the best of my knowledge). The problem with bridge-appearance is that the phone would not stop ringing.

Try uing a Team button for the busy indicator.

A team button not only provides a busy indicator and speed dial, but it also shows when the phone is ringing. It will also allow the person with the button to pickup the call like a bridged appearance. However, unlike a bridged appearance it monitors all of the extensions call appearances. It will ring the station unless you set the rg field to n.

Thanks Stinney, I will give that a go as it sounds like a more robust solution.

Is there any restrictions on using it? It is coming up for certain extensions saying "button type does not meet min or max requirements" yet it works for others?
