Busy Indicator not working on 2420

I have a 2420 phone programmed on a G3r. There is a busy indicator for ext 42402 programmed on this phone. It does not change when 42402 is in use. Is there something else that needs to be done for the 24XX sets to make the busy indicator work?

Does the feature button call 42402 if pressed?

Could the actual LED be faulty? Try and set up a send button to see if the LED illuminates

If you press the button it does dial 42402. 42402 is an X-port with bridged appearances on other phones. The indicator does not change when one of the bridged appearances is active.

I put a busy lamp for my phone on the 2420 and it does indicate when my line is active. It just does not seems to work with an x-port with bridged appearances.
