Bullets not appearing in RTF Text

Using Crystal Reports 9, I am putting a memo field on my report. I have the Text Interpretation for the field set to 'RTF Text'. The rich-text formatting is working ok for bold, color, italics, underline, font and justification. However, bullets and pictures are not appearing in the report.

Having pictures in my rich-text is not a huge concern, but I need to be able to have bullets. I assume this has something to do with the fact that bullets and pictures are not related to text, while font, color, etc are. But, the info for the bullets is in the rtf file.

{\colortbl ;\red255\green0\blue0;}

Any ideas?

How about using Wingdings for your bullets and using the formula expert to replace the bullet rtf text with a wingding bullet point?

So is it a known fact that you cannot show a bullet point in your report using RTF data (without using formulas)? It seems like their should be a better way.

I finally found a document from Crystal spelling out the RTF tags known to format correctly and the tags that don't format correctly. Apparently, bulleted indents, images, tables, and several other things simply won't format correctly in Crystal. The frustrating thing is, this document is from Crystal 8. Two releases later and the same problems exist.

Have you got the URL of the document from Crystal? That would be useful to have in this topic.

Also did the workaround work?

I honestly did not try your work around. I have over 100 hundred reports that display one or more memo fields from our custom application. These memo fields may or may not contain one or more bullets. I can't justify parsing each memo field to check for a bullet and updating the code.
