Bulletin Board error on ASA start

Ieach time I login to the G3 with ASA I get a popup that says;

"Switch error: Bulletin Board last modified 2/1/2000
Warning: High Priority messages entered on 2/1/2000
See the documentation for details"

Any idea how to clear this?

do a change bull and read what it says. If it isn't important...just move it to a line without the * asterik

Actually, I went in and the first 2 lines with a * say:

* active super user please call 2/1/2000
* 1-800-242-2121 x 26694 ask for Betsey 2/1/2000

But, they are not in a field that I can edit.

Entries inthe bulletin board with a '*' were put there either by Avaya or by a user prior to a system upgrade. You can't delete entries with a star. The newer versions of ASA have an entry under 'tools-->options' that lets you disable whe bulletin board warning box.

I have ASA 1.11 what is the latest?

To stop the original problem: In ASA goto Tools>Options Then on the general tab remove the check mark for "Enable Bulletin Board Dialog Box"

This won't clear the Bulletin Board but will stop that stupid message!

Thanks to all for the info, however I guess my version of ASA 1.11.05 doesn't have this option top turn off the dialog box, so I will have to live with it for now
