Bulk-Insert-Problem with ÖÄÜ

Hi!

my problem:

I insert da from a csv-file into my table, but I loose the "Umlaute" öüä!

Does anyone of you have a solution for me - I think it's a german-language problem, but the scandinavian will also have this.

Maybe someone has a solution for me,

Can you give more information as what are you using (bcp, DTS) to insert the records from the file?, are you using a format file? what are the datatypes? and what is the char. set that you've installed the sql server? are you using colation? AL Almeida

but I found the solution of my problem already.

I had to use 'codepage'. Without this attribute you lose all 'Umlaute' like üöä.

Yeap! it does make sense to use codepage.
Could you please post an explanation of the solution you used so others can banefit from it as well.
