Dear all,

I'm running a report on Unix (SunOS 5.9 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-880)based application. Whe running the report, which was meant to backup application files, it gave an error "dd: buffer size cannot be zero"; as a result, all the scheduled reports were wiped out.
Could anyone give me some help or advices? Thank you very much.

John

I would not use the dd command unless I absolutely had to. You can not perform a UFSDUMP or tar or some other form of backup.
