Hi!

I'm using Access 2000. I would like to create a command button that enables the user to browse the hard drive for JPEG and GIF images. Once an image has been selected, I want to store only it's full pathname in a table (field name is ImagePath).

Could someone please help me out with the code? Thanks.

Yes,

Just Can You Tell Me What Is The Field's Do You Have In Your Table?
Do You Want To Store The Image In The DB(Not Recommended) Or
Just The Full Path And The Image Name In One Fiels?

I want to be able to use a command button [cmdBrowse] to browse for the images (.jpg and .gif) in the hard drive.

When user selects the file, I wish to store it's full name and path in a field called [ImagePath].

This is where I really need help - invoking that browse menu via the command button and capturing the full path and filename.

I would then display the image on the form based on the image's name as in the database. I can do this.

Thanks.

Dear Abbyanu,

Yes you can do sure, if you are using Access you can add all the found image to the table, then you do deleting wich you don't need, other wise you have to have a window with click yes or no, and i think if you found a hug images you need also a hug time for clicking.
if you are going to use a VB it would be better for your case,,,,,,,,, for now i'll send you a DB just to check it if it will be good for you then let me know how can we go better.

May I have your e-mail

Thank you

Dear Haitham

I would greatly appreciate. I just need the code to attach to the command button, so that when user clicks it on a data-entry form, it allows him/her to browse the hard drive for .gif/.jpg images. When user selects the image (I'm assuming one image per record) the full pathname and filename for the current record are recorded in a field called ImagePath.

Thanks and God bless!

AbbyAnu.
