My browsers, both IE based, periodically get flagged by Zonealarm for wanting to accept connections from the internet, and/or act as a server. I always deny the request. Does anyone know why a browser would want to do this?
Usually it's some kind of spyware (usually a BHO) if something like that happens. You might check your system with some kind of anti-spyware software (whatever works for you) and see if something shows up. You can also try posting a HiJackThis! log off of one of the computers.
Here's the Hijack this log. Any suggestions are appreciated.

and paste this log for an auto scan. Look at the results and decide what action to take, if any.
You seem to have a lot of unnecessary processes - or perhaps you use them? Only you know.
The entries containing NameServer = 68.94.157.1,68.94.156.1 point to "SBC Internet Services - Southwest " Your ISP? If not & you don't know them, or why you have these entries I would be suspicious. This could be the culprit, but if it is your ISP it could be benign? Only you can tell I think.
If you make static DNS server entries to valid ISP DNS SRV A records it is suspicious?
The HJT log is clean.
Without more details from the ZoneAlarm log really litle can be said. As stduc said, you have a lot of things running. Since you are using IE 7 as the base, try running it in "no add-ons" mode: right-click your Explorer icon on the Desktop and choose the no add-ons mode. Some weird and wonderful problems have been "fixed" by running IE7 in no add-ons mode. If no add-ons mode fixes your problems, then you are going to have to try and work out what third party product is causing your problems by disabling one add-on at a time, restarting IE, then testing. If disabling one doesn't work, re-enable it, restart IE, and try the next one.
You really should though update your Sun Java version and remove with Add/Remove the outdated entries. The version you have has identified and active vulnerabilities.
