I typed a bogus url in the address bar to see what type of http:503 error was displayed. Instead it went to my service provider's sight which provided a search option and a list of alternative addresses I might find interesting.

How do I change the settings so that I just get a page/site not found error. I have hughe issues with the current process for, to say just two issues, security and child safty. I also don't like the program doing things I have not configured it to do.

I have entered internet options and disabled 'search suggestions' as well as trying both 'Do not submit unknown....' and 'Just display the results...'.

never mind its a new opt-out service from my service provider. Wish they would ask you to opt-in instead of assuming....
