browser preview - links

How come when I preview my page in browsers, the links only work once? Is this just how DW does it? Will they work correctly once I uploaad to the host provider?

I think the problem in the browser
check it of any other machine if u have a local network
DW just created a tmp file that is called on to the browser

and i also wanted to know if this problem arisies if u view the page directly in the browser and not by creating a preview

My links only show up as icons in preview. And when I click on them the next page shows up blank with only icons showing up instead of the jpgs

Help a newbie, please! Yesterday I downloaded Dreamweaver 4 as a 30 day trial. I put a couple of jpeg images into a document, but when I try to do a browser preview I only see icons, not photos. And for the life of me I can't figure out how to upload the file to a web page to see if the images show there.

Can you help me before I slit my wrists?
