Howdy,

Every so often (perhaps three times a day on some servers, more on others) a domain server gives a warning in the event log that it was unable to get a list of servers from the browser. The event ID is 8021. One domain server in another building gives the error message sometimes every two hours. I noticed that sometimes the servers have a browser election when this happens. When I type at the command prompt 'browstat getmaster device, etc', it sees the master browser. I should add that my network is a combination of W2K and Linux. My "real" dns servers at all five of my LANS are Unix based. I only use Microsoft's DNS server for Active Directory. Is this a problem. Also, how often do the domain servers synchronize with the master browser?

Thanks

It seems like the user account that was used to configure AD doens't have the appropriate rights to replicate.
