When I look at the list that Hijack This produces ,and click on the item for more info, the definitions are too generic for me to determine whether some of the items are can be deleted or not.
I also have this unknown winsock file listed about 1/2 dozen times (inetadpt.dll); which seems suspect. Don't know whether I should delete them or not.
I've seen people post their Hijack log this forum. Is there anyone that can analysis my log?
If you will download and run adaware, it only lists things that can be deleted, and all you have to do is put a check next to it and AdAware will do the rest.
For what I have been able to dig up, yes, the inetadpt.dll is spyware and should be deleted.
You can also try spybot 1.2, get it from downloads.com.
I run it every time I visit a questionable site, you never know what they try to plant on your machine.
If you're still having problems, post your log in its entirety. There are several handy sorts about who can read it for you and provide removal instructions.
You also might want to try a free download "Browser Hijack Blaster". Google or any other good search engine can find it for you. AdAware is not good. It's great!! It's also free.
