Hi, are they any command to find unused port simultantly for all trunk in Definity, the old Admin leave us with many unused extension, almost all capacity (400 port) used, but in fact only 300 something in use. Any How to browse (just like duplicate station) and delete it. I tried test one by one port with "list usa ext xxxx".

List configuration all is the best way to see what ports are used and which ones are not.

The form gives you the board type and the ports allocated.

Look for the "u" or "T" on the right hand side of the screen. They indicate unused ports or unTTI'd ports for your use.

Also P will sometimes indicate this as well if PSA is turned on in your switch.

TTI ot T indicated that TTI is turned on in your switch, which would allow you to do set relocation of similar sets when making changes.

How about in DSA/ASA using hardware manager? You can select each board to see it's current assignments (i.e. what extension is using what port).

Hi Netcon1,

Yes, the "list conf sta" command will show unused port, but how if the port assined to extension and no handset connected to it (unplug or forget to delete). I have to test one by one station number by command "test st". I's very takes times for me. Is there any way to browse unused extension that port assigned but no handset attach to it ?
Glad to hear your answer Netcon1

I am probably wrong here, but wont an assigned port with no station give a warning or alarm, not sure what code.
This way you could do a disp alarm with certain code and have a full list of ports.
Like I said not sure if this is right but i remember having a look at my alarms and I found a few I think they were code 13.
Checked the port and patching and not turret.

If a digital set is not connected to the port it will give an alarm.
With an analog set it will give an alarm if Tests is set to Y on the station form.

look in your error log for 513. That is the error associated with an unplugged station.

just because the port shows t or p dosen't mean it's available, there may be sets connected for future use.
if the port shows u or blank it's free, if it shows t or p you may want to look at the wall field to see if there is something connected or not.
