Broken Report

Hello All,

I have a report that no longer opens. I double-click its icon and nothing happens. Doesn't open in preview mode or design view. If I try and open it in code or in the immediate window, I get the 'You cancelled previous operation' error message.

I have tried compacting and repairing the database, and when I copy and paste the report in the database window after naming the new report, the screen doesn't refresh. If I manually refresh it, it shows up but when I try and open it, it says 'Cannot find the object ...blah, blah, Make sure the object exists and you spell it names correctly'. Same thing if I export it to a different database.

Has anyone experienced this before? I really don't want to have to create the damn thing again.

You don't by chance have an older copy where the report is working? If so, delete the bad report and import the good copy. (File\Get external data\Import)

No, but thanks. I have had to recreate the report.

Luckily I had a pdf version to refer to, so I didn't have to think about it all over again.
