Hello

I have a user who has multiple bridged appearances on their phone. The user gets a quick glimpse of the calling party to the particular bridged appearance if he happens to be watching his handset at that moment, but this only appears very briefly. This doesn't always seem to happen mind you. I would like to know if it is possible to determine who is calling the bridged appearance without having to actually answer the call?

Thanks

I believe you can give the station console permissions and assign monitor buttons rather than bridged. Or maybe you need both.

Thanks Scott but I am unaware of the monitor key you speak of. Can you clarify.

Perhaps you could make the bridged appearance ring also and I am sure whilst it is ringing, the CLI is displayed as "calling party >>> called party" Perhaps need more info though. i.e. type of handsets being used etc.

Or, what you can do is this. If the person doesn't want the bridged appearanced to ring, then put an "inspect" button on the phone. While the call is flashing, they can hit "inspect" then the button the call is coming in on to scan who is calling. That always works.

Hope it helps.
