This is not really my area (more of networking slave, but hey it's all electric and wires as I keep getting told), but it's been dumped on me, so please bear with me if some terminology is incorrect.
Our Maintainer has installed a BRI card into the Option 61 and has terminated it into out main TN wiring blocks. However I need to get it to go over Cat5 cabling to terminate into a FAX server (hence a pc card). I have no problem doing analogue and Meridian phones but ISDN is new one on me.
I've obtained some pinouts elsewhere, but how the heck do I know which is which in the wiring block. Also will it cause damage wiring it to the card directly without going via one of the NTE boxes normally associated with BRI lines?
This is the pinouts I have is but which end is which.
One end
1
2
3 RX+
4 TX+
5 TX-
6 RX-
7
8
Therefore guessing other end
1
2
3 TX+
4 RX+
5 RX-
6 TX-
7
8
Thanks for any help
