breaking text threads

I have a document from word with tables and graphics, sometimes when i´m placing it into InDesign i have to break apart the text thread to insert the table and reduce it´s size.

Once i´ve placed the table, what i want is to connect the previous text to the talbe.. so it´s linked. By mistake y connected the text prior to the table to the one after, and now i cannot break that link-

how can i break the thread???

I admit. This is not the easiest thing to do. I do it sometimes by cutting out the frame and pasting it back in. But it's kinda tricky.
