Breaking into the C++ community

I'm a web developer looking to learn C++. I have a basic grasp of OOP techniques through my knowledge of JavaScript. I use ColdFusion on my web site. ColdFusion can be expanded greatly through the use of C++ (so I've read). Any ideas on what books to get/stay away from?
