I just want to say that it was time for a change, the new look of the forums is great.

I only hope we can select our own theme a-la
next step, try to improve the code, Xhtml compliant comes to mind...

Anyhow, cheers to the developers of
Keep up the great job guys/gals.

i like the new look too, i only have 1 gripe- the right menu on threadminder.cfm does not display properly on Firefox 0.8 for windows.

other than that, great job!

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

I like it, but it'll hurt the site..

It's mostly a new skin from what I can tell but they've reworked the links so like bookmarks and google's links aren't working..

Hey guys (and gals), I like the new site layout also. It looks sleek. LOL, also like the 'TEK-TIPS FORUMS' logo. Reminds me of the horse from the She-Ra cartoons. Errr, does any one here know of that cartoon? Anywho, nice look.

Since you have changed your image, alI I get when attempting to login, or view any page on are script errors. For example, on login I get:

Please try the following:

Check the ColdFusion documentation to verify that you are using the correct syntax.
Search the Knowledge Base to find a solution to your problem.

Even the ‘Contact Us’ button causes a script error!

Is the problem at your end? Or do I have to change some settings somewhere? I/m not aware that I've made any changes recently, other than keeping up to date with anti-virus (Mcafee), firewall (ZoneAlarm) and Windows (XP Pro) recommended updates.

I've eventually managed to login via my son's PC, but even on there, the 'Contact Us' button generates a 'Page Error'.

But at least I can (hopefully) write a reply to this post and that someone can help me out.

Contact Us" is not working for me at all.

Something I found that I really don't like is that the Debug option is set to true.
This shows too much information and should be addressed
specially when my Password is open for other people to see.

Just add &debug=true to any page and you'll see. Try with this very same page and search for keyword password.

How and where do we post comments to the people that run the site?

I've managed to enable myself to login to now by removing (under an administrative user) the PCPLUS and Q312461 entries from the registry key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\User Agent\Post Platform

I'm not sure why they were there (PCPLUS is a UK computer magazine, and Q312461 looks like a Microsoft Knowledge Base entry).

Anyway, having removed the entries, I can now login to tek-tips OK (although the ContactUs button still generates a script error).

What appears to be missing in the new look, compared with the old, is the NextThread button, which was very useful in viewing a series of new entries in a forum.
Now it appears that you have to go Back to the forum view to select the next thread manually.
