NO
I like some inputs on an issue.

I have the following rig now:
Specs can be viewed here at PcPitstop bench

What im wondering is that before i made the swap
to AMD xp2500+ Barton i had a Xp2200+t-bred.

The xp2200+ i was running at 10*200 ~2,0ghz

Now i run xp2500 at 11*213 ~ 2,34ghz

Now the mysticle part.
I have a ASUS GF4 TI4200 8X 128MB @ 300/600

Futuremarks 3D2001SE
Gives a score with the xp2200@2ghz around 12500 points

And guess what with the new CPU it's excacly the same .

I was told that actually the 2dmark01 was cpu dependent
so what's happening here.

My guess is that both setups feed the GPU with
more than it could handle ,resulting in eq. scores.

And that 3dmark01 is cpu dependat upto a certain point,

This is a little chart I came across:

AMD ATHLON XP CPU
XP 3200+ 2.20GHz
XP 3000+ 2.16GHz
XP 2800+ 2.08GHz
XP 2700+ 2.17GHz
XP 2600+ 2.13GHz
XP 2500+ 1.83GHz
XP 2400+ 1.93GHz
XP 2200+ 1.80GHz
XP 2100+ 1.73GHz
XP 2000+ 1.67GHz
XP 1900+ 1.60GHz
XP 1800+ 1.53GHz
XP 1700+ 1.47GHz
XP 1600+ 1.40GHz
XP 1500+ 1.33GHz

As you can tell, the speeds don'w exactly progress in a linear fashion.

Berton !
I know the stock speeds.
My tests/setups was 2000Mhz (with xp2200 t-bred)
and 2332mhz (with Barton)

The cpu speed difference of 332mhz doesn't effect
the 3dmark01 score.
There was some lame guy in a forum elswhere that
insisted that this benchmark program was cpu dependent.
I said to him that that might be the case upto a certain
cpu level.

I stated that if you have a cpu that operates the graphic card at the limit of what it can do,there is no more
performance to gain with a higher cpu speed.
Only way to get faster graphics is to upgrade to a faster
video card.
But he didn't believe the results were equal with 300mhz differenceof the processor.
