Hi All,

I am migrating from a Windows 2000 server (being retired) to a Windows 2003 server and I'm also transferring my NetBackup processes / media database as well. I have Doc. 266720 from Veritas regarding the process and it doesn't look to difficult but I'm stuck at step 3: FORCE_RESTORE_MEDIA_SERVER = fromhost tohost
It wants me to add that line to bp.conf in the NetBackup loadpoint but its not there. I'm looking on both servers and I can't find bp.conf on either server on any disk.
The only files in there are vfm.conf, and vfm_master.conf

Are these the Windows equivalent to bp.conf or is my installation just hosed? I get good backups now on my current media server if that helps.
We're running Win2K server +SP4, Netbackup 5.0 MP2...

Thanks!

The Windows equivalent is FAILOVER RESTORE tab of the Master Server Host Properties.
NetBackup Management>Host Properties>Master Server...then select properties from the drop down menu

the is no bp.conf on window based servers.
The force_restore_media_server is done through the "host properties" undr the "General Server" tab.

Alright, I'll add that host to the restore failover and try to complete the migration. Thanks very much!
