Yes, you can make your own, under Edit>Dashes and Stripes or look for an extension which will do it

Hi backyardflower,
If you have version 4.1 of Quark you can use the frame editor to make quite a few fancy borders and save them to preferences.
Then after making the borders you want to use in Quark 6.x you make a new page in Quark 4.1 draw a text or picture box and choose the frame or frames you want, you can use more than one. Then save the page as Borders. Then from Quark 6.x choose file and open the 4.1 page, you'll get a message do you want to use QuarkXpress Preferences or do you want to keep Project Settings.
Note: You must choose Keep Project settings every time you open this document in 6.x or you will lose the frames. Then you will be able to draw and use those frames throughtout the document and save and print with 6.x.

When you say you are limited to only a dozen borders in Quark 6.5 do you mean you only have the dashes and stripes available as borders, and you are missing the borders, that you had in Quark 4.1, Yearbook, Certificate, Coupon, Deco Shadow, Deco Plain, Maze, Ornate, Op Art1 and Op Art2.
If so respond to this post and I may have the solution.
