I have an IBM ThinkPad, and when I boot up my laptop the screen is only half size and centered in the middle until I get into windows. How can I fix that?
There is a setting in the thinkpad configuration utility program. The thinkpad configuration utility program is like a control panal for the think pad. Allows you to enable and dis able the built in ports. Should be a video or screen section. Do not remember where exactly it is. I have not used one in about a year.
Hope this helps.
Here's your problem...
Your screen setup is set like that of a normal monitor, where you can squeeze, stretch, move from left right up & down, & such with the viewable area. Windows corrects this when it starts up & re-centers the image for you. Find your controls & try to modify it.
Hi, The normal switch for screen size in a T/Pad is controlled by function (Fn)F8 keys. If you open a DOS session and type 'PS2 ?' without the quotes you will get the Bios settings and it can be altered there. It is ususal to have a Thinkpad Icon on the task bar and double clicking there will also give access to the controls.
