Hi all,

First of all this is my machine setup:

1 Hard Disk
3 Partitions - Windows XP (primary), Vista (logical), Windows 2003 Server (logical)

When I had just XP and Vista I used the boot manager to choose either Vista or Earlier Versions (as in XP).

Since I installed Windows 2003 Server on my 3rd partition though I no longer get that choice. I get the entries specified in the boot.ini file from the XP install. The choices here are XP and 2003. They both work fine. I then added an entry for which was exactly the same as the 2003 entry but I changed the partition number to 2. If I choose this though Vista does not boot, I just get a black screen and no disk activity.

How to do I boot Vista or get the boot manager back??

Thanks.

This is a handy program to use when having Boot problems in Vista dual booting with XP. It can be run from XP or Vista and may correct the booting problem.

Linney,

Top advice, this resolved my issue. I have to reinstall the BDE component using the software you recommened.

Thanks.
