I've got a Windows XP workstation and I've fdisk the drive.. created a C and a D... formatted the drives and now when I boot I receive a ....boot 2>. that replaces the command prompt... Anyone know what this is. I can't do anything on the system?!?

Sounds like you've got some kind of funky bootloader taking over perhaps. Did you do an 'fdisk /mbr' yet? That'll clear out anything on the master boot record that could be catching the boot process.

What was installed prior to formatting the drives, are there hidden recovery partitions from OEM pre-installed operating systems?

What are you trying to achieve exactly?
