Get the Hackers Guide to VFP. Also learn to use your SHIFT key. Reading all UPPER CASE quotes is really annoying.

"The Hacker's Guide to VFP" is a must, but first I would recommend "The Fundamentals: Building Visual Studio Applications on a VFP Foundation" also from Hentzenwerke Publishing.
