booking script tutorial

Hi,

I´m looking for a tutorial on writing a booking script.

Anybody know where to find this? A book on the subject would be great too.

I´m not looking for any finished scripts, because I want to know what I´m doing.

I don´t know what´s so terrible about my question, but if you think I should be more specific, here goes:

I have to write a booking script for about 30 computers.

People have to be able to book a pc online from their homes.

A calendar will have to be implemented as well, so that people can book several days ahead.

There are some finished scipts available, but I would prefer to build it myself so that I can understand the process.

I do not need any finished code - I just can´t find a decent tutorial on the subject...

This might not be "the best question", but it´s all I´ve got...

I simply wanted to verify the meaning you were using in "booking". It's a word with multiple idiomatic meanings.

Hi again,

I realize that I was being unclear - I apologize!

People have to be able to book computers - that is they have to be able to book/rent time at a library to use their computers for 1 hour at a time.

Thanks for the link - that´s a cool script, but I as I said, I´m really looking for a tutorial of some sorts so that I can fully understand what I am doing.

I´m still learning PHP...
