I'm working on a new project and require a reservation/availability calendar. ok I could spend the next 6 month writing my own, but that's a bit pointless re-inventing the wheel.
However, I'm strugling to find something that meets my needs and wondered if anyone here uses a plugin they could recommend.
I'm being drawn to booking-tracker.com ok , it's not free but it looks pretty close to what I need, though I want more control over the booking form and result page (i.e. thank you) etc..
So I thought perhaps there was a free one, I know before anyone says G! Calendar, but that doesn't meet my needs, I want a single month display, clickable to make bookings and a simple previous/next link to scroll through each month.
Not something that takes my visitors away from my site to a 3rd party page nor a calendar that displays a whole list of months or other useless info, this is not a diary or meetings function, it's simply an availability / reservation calendar for a holiday let website!
shared-house.com looked promising until you click the 'booking / reservation' button, although the calendar is embedable, the booking form loads a page on their site with a full 12 months listing and plastered with G! Adsense adverts...
Any pointers to feesable free or 'cheap' plugin is appreciated, also the calendar can only work with HTML/CSS/JavaScript/SSI or Perl , as those are the only languages available with the hosting I'm using, so no PHP, ASP .NET or any other serverside language, only Perl!
But that's my native server language (and reason for posting in this forum ;-) ), so if anyone knows of a perl module or script, it would very much be appreciated.
