I've been using Quark awhile, but never the book feature. My document will be 200 plus pages, so I want to use chapters. How should I set up the master pages so when I add a chapter they all match and number correctly? Not sure to use facing (this will be a perfect bound book) or single etc.

What I am getting now is page numbers are getting skipped.

Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any suggestions.

Make a text box on you master page then do command(apple) + 3 which will give you an automatic number ideally you do that before making any pages, but if you have page there already, then get out of your masters, select all your pages then hold down option and click on the master pages.
